    Play in it

In 2022 we sent our very first shipment from Caberra to Gapuwiyak School - over 4,000 kms away.

Our story

O'Connor Knights Soccer Club

In 2022, we partnered with O’Connor Knights Soccer Club to get the word out

Working in partnership with local soccer club, The O’Connor Knights in Canberra, we put the call out for donations from clubs and community groups.

With the help of local media and social media we were able to spread the word far and wide.

Boots and balls started rolling in

What started out as a small goal, turned into a huge outpouring of support from the Canberra community.

In just under 3 months we collected 9 tonnes of soccer boots, uniforms, balls and jerseys to send to Aboriginal communities in need.

iDiC and Toll Transport got onboard

Transporting such a huge amount of sporting goods over hundreds of kilometres created a new financial challenge. Thanks to the generous support of Adam Goodes, CEO and Co-Founder of Indigenous Defence & Infrastructure Consortium and Toll Transport and we were able to pack our goods and send them on their long journey to Gapuwiyak School in NT.

A special delivery for Gapuwiyak School

After 4 weeks on the road our shipment of sporting goods made their way safety to their destination.

The kids at Gapuwiyak School were thrilled to see the shipment arrived and helped to sort the equipment into sizes for the local community to come and use.

Since then, there has been lots of extra activity happening in around town including a local footy comp.

Get involved

We’re looking for your help for our next equipment drive. You can donate sporting goods, help collect goods at your local community centre or sporting club, or make a financial contribution to help with transport costs.

  • Donate Goods

You can donate boots, balls, jerseys and uniforms that you no longer need to one of our drop-off points.

  • Become a sponsor

If you can’t donate sporting gear, you can help with a financial contribution to help with transport costs and to purchase equipment for Aboriginal communities in need.

  • Collect equipment

If you run a local sporting or community group you can help by setting up a collection point for donations and putting the call out in your local area.
